Coronation Street fans think Damon Hay is about to break killer Harvey Gaskell out of prison, after a recent twist.
This week, it was revealed that Damon is the brother of criminal Harvey - making Harvey Jacob Hay's uncle.
Now, viewers are speculating Jacob's dad Damon is faking his hatred of Harvey, and that he could actually be in cahoots with his criminal sibling.
On Monday night, fans learned the truth leaving them stunned - given Harvey was introduced as Jacob's boss last year.
Harvey groomed Jacob into a life of crime, having him deal drugs and pills for him - while he also nearly had him killed when he tried to flee.
This news left Damon horrified, and he arranged for his secret sibling Harvey to be attacked in prison.
Now, fans have shared their thoughts that the attack was in fact a set-up, and a ploy to get Harvey out of prison.
Fans are guessing Damon is still in business with his evil brother, and that the attack is a means to get him to hospital so that he can possibly escape.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer said: "This is all a set up. Harvey's going to escape from the hospital."
Another fan commented: "I think Damon & Harvey are working together. the plan was to get Harvey in hospital, so he can escape and soon, you will see them meet up and hear Harvey say 'thanks bro, now down to business'."
It comes as Amy Barlow actress Elle Mulvaney teased that Damon would bring plenty of drama to the show.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, the actress spilled that the dad of Jacob Hay was "one to watch" as she hinted his arrival could impact a number of characters.
She said: "It's going to be really interesting when Jacob's dad Damon comes onto the show. He's going to bring a lot of drama.
"He's definitely going to be one to watch and I think it's going to get really interesting when we start to discover more things about Jacob's family.
"I think that's going to have an impact with Jacob and Amy so we'll have to see what's going to happen with that. We hope for happiness but there's going to be drama."
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
