Coronation Street fans 'not buying it' as huge error comes to light

Coronation Street fans spotted a glaring problem as emotional scenes aired on Friday evening.

Daisy Midgeley's evil stalker Justin Rutherford is on trial, having pleaded not guilty to launching a vile campaign against her and attempting to throw acid over her. Soap fans will know the acid actually hit Ryan Connor, who has been left scarred for life.

A twisted Justin told the court a completely different version of events in scenes that aired in the last episode of the week. He said it was actually Ryan who had the glass of acid in the pub.

He feigned emotion as he said: "I can still see it, I can still hear it. It's horrible". The fake story was enough to send Ryan storming out of the courtroom.

Daisy sobbed as she said to Jenny: "He's going to get away with it, isn't he?"

Fans at home were clearly moved by the scenes, but many also found a problem with what was happening. Taking to Twitter, Darren said: "The Rovers must be the only pub in Britain without CCTV".

David said: "Surely to god... there's CCTV in the rovers [and] there's Justin's DNA on the acid glass". Hattie said: "Not buying that there's no CCTV in the Rovers"

@bredrew2 said: "It's 2023, you can't tell me of all the incidents that have happened on Coronation Street that none of the businesses including the Rovers don't have CCTV?"@toolshed_ said: "After all of the chaos that happens in the Rovers over the years they didn't think to have CCTV installed at all????"

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and ITVX
