Coronation Street star Tanisha Gorey has issued an emotional goodbye to one of her cobbles co-stars on Instagram.
The 20-year-old has been a mainstay on Weatherfield since she joined the long-running soap in 2009. The character has endured a turbulent time in recent years, having been caught up in a number of dramatic story-lines.
Fortunately, Tanisha's life away from the soap is a lot less dramatic than her on-screen counterpart. And away from the cameras, she is also good friends with a number of her fellow cast members.

Earlier this year, she and fellow actress Millie Gibson, who plays Kelly Neelan in the long-running soap, both glammed up to attend Corrie's belated Christmas bash. At the time Millie shared snaps of herself wearing a yellow dress for the party.
Tanisha heaped praise on Millie's stunning look, saying: "Wowza you’re too much for me." [sic]. When Tanisha then uploaded her own photos, Millie commented: "The love of my life".
The two are clearly close friends, so it has come as sad news to Tanisha that Millie is leaving Coronation Street. Taking to Instagram on Sunday, the former shared a number of photos from Millie's leaving party.
Captioning the post, Tanisha said: "I’m gonna miss you baby girl [heart emoji]". Fans were quick to share the sentiment, with many disappointed her character Kelly would be leaving the soap.
Denise Perryman said: "So sad to hear you’re leaving. Hope they leave it so you can come back. Really going to miss you", while Elliott said: "Omg I didn’t know you were leaving Corrie. Good luck in whatever you do next x". Carole Henderson said: "All the best Millie you are such a great part of the Corrie family you will be missed".
