Coronation Street fans were thrilled to see Sam Blakeman return to the programme.
Jude Riordan, the actor who plays Sam, has been a fan favourite for quite some time for his cheeky demeanour and loveable personality outside of the show. The 11-year-old took some time away from the cobbles to complete his SATs and enjoy a well-deserved summer holiday away from work.
The St Helen's star recently announced he would be returning to the show but fans were ecstatic to see his new scenes were sooner than expected.

Sam was flooded with adoring messages as viewers watched the character prepare for his first day at high school complete with a brand new uniform. Multiple comments included strings of heart emojis including one that said: "Sam's back!
Another added: "Welcome back Sam and best of luck on your first day of your new high school."
A third viewer said: "SAM’S BACK KLAXON!!
A final fan said: "Yay Sam is back."
Viewers watched as Sam made his way to school but not before sneaking off to post a mysterious letter. Though it was never revealed who it was addressed to or what its contents were, he looked troubled throughout his journey, leading some to believe drama for the youngster is just around the corner.
