Coronation Street viewers watched in horror, as Yasmeen Nazir remained in shock moments after believing she had killed her husband Geoff Metcalfe.
The character hit him over the head with a wine bottle, before stabbing him in the neck with the broken glass.
Yasmeen acted out after being pushed too far by her abusive husband, and didn't appear to realise what exactly she had done in the fallout.
In a complete state of shock, the character checked on him before muttering in the kitchen not knowing what to do.
She believed he was dead, and didn't initially call for help until a text message from his granddaughter made her realise she needed to call for emergency services.
But Yasmeen made several decisions in those first minutes, as Geoff lay dying or dead on the floor, that could leave her facing huge charges.

Given that no one asides granddaughter Alya knew about Yasmeen's ordeal, she had a lot to prove.
Yasmeen immediately washed the blood off her hands, after dropping the bottle - which may look as though she was trying to get rid of evidence.
She didn't call for help straight away and even ignored Geoff's son Tim and partner Sally when they rang the doorbell.
Yasmeen wiped her now clean hands with the tea towel and stood in shock, as messages and calls came in on his phone.
She eventually did call 999, but this in itself triggered two issues which may return to haunt her as Geoff fights for life.
Not only did she wait before calling for help, risking his life, but she also told them she'd "killed" him.
Yasmeen was too shaken to explain what he'd put her through, and all they got from her was that she'd attacked him with apparently no reason other than there'd been a row.
Viewers fear for Yasmeen after her arrest, especially as she could be facing murder charges if Geoff dies.
With her yet to go into detail about her abuse or the attack, and residents not knowing about Geoff's abuse, they worry it will be her who ends up paying the price.
