Coronation Street fans ecstatic as 'living legend' returns to street

Coronation Street viewers were delighted to see Carla return after she was admitted to a psychiatric clinic.

For weeks, Stephen was secretly drugging Carla to get back at her for demoting him in the factory. Plotting to take the entire business for himself, he began spiking her drinks which had a knock on affect to her wellbeing.

She became disoriented, aggressive and unable to care for herself and after Stephen started a fire in her apartment, which she got the blame for, she was admitted to a psychiatric clinic.
