Coronation Street fans were left incredibly perplexed tonight after David Platt appeared to morph into Spiderman.
David, played by Jack P Shepherd, had been chased by a group of thugs who had tried to mug him.
As he reached Victoria Street, it seemed inevitable that he would be caught and beaten up.
However, as two vehicles drove in between him and the thugs, David disappeared and the group were left dumbfounded.
As the camera panned up, it was revealed that David had managed to scale the fire escape in seconds and stood grinning as he watched below.
And fans were left raising their eyebrows at David's sudden show of acrobatics.
One mused on Twitter : "Has David Platt been bitten by a radioactive spider? #corrie."
While another wrote: "David must be a bloody grasshopper to get up there so quickly #Corrie."
A third tweeted: "What a group of k***s And since when did David Platt become Spider-Man? #corrie."
"F***ing hell how fast is david platt? #Corrie," another commented.
A confused viewer asked: "How did David get up there that quick #Corrie."
