Coronation Street fans astonished at horror 'murder scene' at the Platts'

Coronation Street fans are wondering just what has been going on in the Platt's kitchen.

Gail's washing machine had a very red look to it after a number of eagle-eyed viewers made the discovery on Friday's opening episode.

She was chatting on her sofa with son Nick and the appliance could be seen over her shoulder.

The white machine had some worrying red marks around it - and it got us all thinking back.

It left fans wondering if there's been yet another life lost at number 8.

There is a history of bloody behaviour at the Platt's, of course.

Kylie murdered Callum Logan during that now infamous Corrie Live episode in 2016.

Her husband David, played by long-serving Jack P Shepherd, helped her to stash the body underneath his mum’s granny annex.

David's sister Sarah was involved too - and it became one of the year's biggest stories.

Now fans fear Gail may have done something bad but others say she just needs to loosen the purse strings a little.

One wrote: "Gayle Platt needs to clean her washing machine, looks like a murder scene!"

Another said: "Has she been washing her pink and black leapord print sofa throw?"

The pair could be in big trouble with Leanne (ITV)

One fan chipped in: "What on earth is over the door on Gail's washing machine?"

But one fan remembered who actually owns the place.

"The state of Gail's washing machine - or is it Davids?" said one of the show's fans.

Gail and Nick could be in hot water and it has nothing to do with what's been happening in the kitchen.

Leanne Battersby looks like she is about the commit murder herself after the pair told the hospital investigation she was fighting a losing battle trying to save little Oliver.
