Coronation Street fans all notice same thing as Lydia launches Adam off a balcony

The storyline between Lydia and her tormented ex Adam Barlow has came to a head this evening on Coronation Street.

Lydia had arrived on the street hoping to create turmoil between Adam and his wife Sarah as she was looking to seek revenge for their own relationship turning sour years ago. So far, she has set Adam up to make it look as though they were having an affair leading to Sarah kicking him out as she refused to buy his version of events. Later, Lydia escalated things further by claiming that Adam was harassing her.

He tried to put a stop to everything after Sarah told him that she was filing for divorce in tonight's episode. Adam text Lydia from Sarah's phone, arranging to meet her at a local coffee shop in the local shopping precinct.

Hoping to get a confession out of her, Adam pressed record on his phone and stashed it in his pocket ready for the meeting. However, Lydia clocked on and took the phone from its hiding place, confronting Adam, and eventually storming off.

He followed her upstairs and she threatened to call the police on him. She waved the phone in his face and Adam tried to wrestle it back off her but instead the phone smashed to the floor.

They continued to argue, with her reminding him that he cheated on her three times when they were together. He retaliated as he said that after a fling runs its course people should learn how to let go.

She emotionally reminisced on her finding out she was pregnant to him at only 19 years old. She said she felt forced to abort the pregnancy but struggled to come to terms with what had happened. Tears ran down her face as she explained why Adam had upset her so much.

Adam asked Lydia to admit to Sarah that she was behind all the lies and chaos. The argument became more heated again as Lydia slapped him before shoving him - sending him flying over the edge of the railing. He lay with blood pooling from his head on the hard floor below - Just as Daniel entered the shopping precinct looking for them both.

Fans on Twitter couldn't help but notice that the shopping centre seemed somewhat empty and all asked the same questions. Jan said: "@itvcorrie It's not a very busy shopping centre, is there even anyone else in it or conveniently just them? #Corrie #ITV #STV"

Another user, Jamal, said: "What type of shopping centre is that? No security, no staff, no people?. #Corrie #coronationstreet"

Others suggested that the scene must have been filmed in the midst of the pandemic. One user said: "Was the shopping centre scenes filmed in covid times barely anyone there...#Corrie." Meanwhile, Conor said: "Looks like that shopping centre was hit hard by the pandemic #corrie."

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV and ITV Hub
