Carla Connor from Coronation Street has been left thinking she is losing her mind as she is secretly poisoned by Stephen Reid - however fans think they may have figured out how the murderer will get his comeuppance.
Reid, played by Todd Boyce, has been attempting to hide his murderous behaviours from his neighbours around Weatherfield, all the while attempting to gather up as much money as possible.
Fans have remembered that Carla, played by Alison King, previously suffered a mental breakdown, so now her friends believe she may be experiencing the same symptoms.
In Wednesday's episode, everyone was kicked out of the factory by Carla as the drugs she was slipped by Stephen began to kick in.
Stephen had dropped the LSD into her cup after he was shunned away to make tea and coffee after being shut down in a business meeting. However, he was almost caught by Sally Metcalfe, played by Sally Dynevor, when she reminded him about Carla's milk preferences.
Carla then began to hallucinate after she drank her tea, but no one made the connection between the tea maker and her current state.
One throwaway comment from Sally, however, has led fans to predict she could be the one to seal the killer's fate.
Taking to Twitter, fans shared their theories, with one fan posting: "Wow, Peter think like Sally. She said Carla was fine before the coffee"
Another posted: "Can they pleeeeeease hurry and make the connection between Stephen's brews and Carla's episodes."
While one more asked: "How is no one clicking on that Carla only goes mad when Stephen makes her a drink? And why the f**k is nothing happening about him murdering those two fellas?"
Another fan added: "I need someone to make Carla a cup of tea and realise she’s fine drinking it, then Stephen to make her a cup and realise she’s gone mental.”
A fifth fan then posted: "Carla is eventually going to twig it’s Stephen and no one will believe her."
