Coronation Street will not air as usual this evening after the soap was cancelled due to a schedule shake up.
The show will be replaced by the football tonight as Manchester United take on Middlesborough in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
It means the latest episode will be pushed back, leaving fans wondering what comes of the feisty feud between Daniel Osbourne and troublesome student Max Turner.
As the soap does not air over the weekend, fans will need to wait until next week to find out exactly what happens next -reports The Express.
The match between Manchester United and Middlesborough will be kicking off at 8pm, with coverage from 7.30pm.
While fans will be disappointed its not airing on Friday, they were given an hour's dose of soap drama on Tuesday evening instead.
Coronation Street was forced to take a back seat in January too as the FA Cup coverage continued.
The soap is expected to continue at its normal time on Monday at 7.30pm but Corrie fans still aren't impressed.
Taking to Twitter to complain, user Nanny Bobbins wrote: "That not so #happyfriday #fridayfeeling when you realise your #fridaynight #coronationstreet @itvcorrie has been replaced with #football again. Well thank you @ITV #FridayThoughts #FridayMotivation."
Jane penned: "I note the football is on again this evening. No Corrie."
"Omg! How many times has Corrie been shuffled about?" June asked.
Fans will be eager to find out what will happen next with Max, who was left injured after Daniel accidentally pushed him down the stairs.
The teacher claimed Max fell, but the student is insisting he was pushed.
Elsewhere, Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) has quit his dream job in the police force to protect girlfriend Faye Windass (Ellie Leach).
Faye and Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell) accidentally knocked an elderly man over after running into him during a driving lesson.
Although he insisted he was fine, he later died of his injuries.
Panicked, the women have been trying to cover up what happened, and have gone to great lengths to do so.
When Craig found out, he tried to deter the investigation away from them.
Unable to carry on working knowing what he has done though, he decided to give up his job.
His mum Beth Sutherland (Lisa George) found out in the latest episode and was determined to get to the bottom of his motives.
Will she find out and land the women in big trouble?
If she learns Fay is to blame for him giving up his dream job, it could spark the end of the couple's romance.
