It’s disappointing news for Coronation Street fans as the soap is taken off air on Friday 27 January.
The long-running soap typically airs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but it has been rescheduled several times in the past few months due to sports matches.
However, viewers don’t need to wait long for the next instalment, that was bumped off the schedule due to a FA Cup airing in its place tomorrow.
Instead, the latest instalment will air this evening at a later timeslot of 9pm on ITV, so viewers can enjoy the hour-long episode earlier than expected.
Fans are in for a treat as the synopsis teases an explosive episode: "Max faces the consequences of his recent actions, Hope's good deed for Kirk ends in tragedy, and Daniel encourages Daisy to make peace with Christina."
The drama will keep fans going until next week, when the soap returns in its typical slot on Monday at 8pm.
On Friday night instead of Coronation Street, Manchester City is set to play Arsenal with kick off at the soap’s regular time of 8pm.
There have been several shake-ups in the regular timeslots with the World Cup last year, that also impacted over fan-favourite soaps such as Emmerdale and BBC ’s EastEnders.
Sometimes ITV viewers had to wait several days to catch up with the cast in Weatherfield, including the climax of Max’s grooming storyline that finally aired on January 9.
Max, played by Paddy Bever, was led down a terrible path by Griff Reynolds as he encouraged the young boy to spread his racists views by helping him film and edit videos.
However, in the end Max had to pay the price for his actions and face the consequences of his disgraceful behaviour.
Coronation Street will air at 9pm tonight on ITV, rather than its usual slot of Friday at 8pm.
