He spent a fair bit of time being one of Coronation Street's hated characters but Corey Brent is back - sort of - as the actor who played him, Maximus Evans, reunited with some of his former co-stars.
For months Corrie viewers knew that the promising Weatherfield County footballer was responsible for the despicable murder of Seb Franklin. In May 2021 Corey, Kelly Neelan, and a couple of their mates set upon the builder and his girlfriend Nina Lucas in a shocking hate crime attack.
It was finally revealed during a flashback episode that Corey was responsible for the horror blows that caused Seb's fatal injuries. But at trial, Corey's dad paid off a witness and got the biggest legal support he could as he believed his son was innocent - while teenager Kelly was sentenced for murder.

Fast forward a few months and Corey finally got his comeuppance as he and his dad were attempting to do a runner after Corey's bloodstained clothes were handed into the police. But after Abi Franklin enlisted his help, Gary Windass tracked the father and son down and dropped them off at the police station.
But five months after lasting being seen on-screen Maximus, who originally arrived on the cobbles as Corey back in 2019 after being introduced to Asha Alahan by Amy Barlow.
The 22-year-old actor caught up with Kelly and Asha star's Millie Gibson and Tanisha Gorey while the latter's on-screen brother Aadi Alahan, played by Adam Hussain, also joined in the catch-up over a drink in Manchester.
Teen soap star Millie first posted a selfie alongside Tanisha. The Kelly actress looked stunning in a green crop top with her blonde locks styled into waves while Tanisha looked just as gorgeous with her luscious, bouncy dark hair resting past her shoulders. "Love of my life," Millie captioned the sweet snap.
She then shared another of Max and Adam sat together with a few empty glasses in front of them, writing: "Favourite boys." Sharing the love further, Tanisha shared a video of her former on-screen boyfriend smiling for the camera and giving a thumbs up from behind a pint of beer. "The Corey to my Asha," she simply captioned the snap on her Instagram Story.
Before his final scenes aired Max revealed that he was moving to London to further his training at The Guild Hall School of Music and Drama. But he was very much open to resurrecting the role of Corey in the future.
Max also named the co-star he'll miss most as he headed off to pastures new. "There are too many to name names but I’ll really miss those early days with Tanisha because that’s where it all started. It started as this one date then grew into this huge scale, important storyline where we were able to work with The Sophie Lancaster Foundation," he said during an interview.
"I remember mine and Tanisha’s last scene, it wasn’t an emotional scene but it was for us looking back to 2 and a half years ago when we did that first scene in Speed Dahl. But I expect Tanisha to be hanging around on the street for years and years to come as she’s fantastic so hopefully I’ll get to do a scene with her again one day if they ever decide to bring Corey back."
