People have been left baffled after noticing the horses pulling King Charles's coach had striking blue hair.
King Charles' procession wound its way through London from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey for his Coronation earlier today.
He and Queen Camilla travelled in a royal coach pulled by eight horses all the way to the 754-year-old Abbey. But it's not the carriage that sparked a debate on social media - but the horses pulling it.
One confused Twitter user asked: "Can someone explain the blue hair on the horses?" In response, one user joked: "Even the horses have gone into 'blue hair eco protestor mode'. What's the world coming to?"
Another user added: "The horses with blue hair ready for their 'Panic! at the Disco' gig later."
One more user added: "Why'd they give all the coach horses blue hair? They look like some company's HR department."
Another user said: "Oh man, monarchy's gone woke, even the horses have dyed blue hair."
The horses in the Coronation procession were called Shadow, Icon, Newark, Echo, Milford Haven, Knightsbridge, Meg and Tyrone.
When journeying to Westminster Abbey, the royal couple rode past crowds lining The Mall in a modern Diamond Jubilee State carriage.
They broke away from a long-standing tradition, as past monarchs instead used a 253-year-old Gold State Coach for their Coronations.
However, late Queen stated in 1953 that the historic carriage made her feel queasy.
Following the crowning, King Charles made his way back to Buckingham Palace alongside members of the working royal family to wave to supporters from the balcony.
