A number of favourite Cornish holiday destinations have been included in a list of places visitors would never step foot in again. In a thread by Twitter account No Context Brits, people were asked to name places they would never revisit and, while some listed destinations such as Benidorm, Blackpool and London, there were a surprising number of Cornwall locations listed too.
In the tweet posted on Friday (April 7), Twitter users gave their reasoning for their answers - and it seems 'commercialism' and being 'overrun' with tourists are some of the more prevalent reasons as to why a number of Brits are choosing to avoid some of Cornwall's most popular destinations.
Cornwall Live reports that, among the list, the likes of St Ives, Land's End and The Eden Project were all mentioned. And these are just some of the comments explaining why they were chosen...

Twitter user @TrevorHurley wrote: "Land's End. Ruined by commercialism." While @Atmyexpense added: "The Eden Project.
"I'm sorry to say it was overly commercialised, I was very disappointed."
@Harmunt commented: "It has to be #Boscastle in #Cornwall. Easily the most unnerving atmosphere I've ever felt.
"We spent the morning there and left as quickly as we could. #wickerman."
@collind6 said: "Controversial maybe, but St Ives in Cornwall. Beautiful coastal fishing town, completely overrun and ruined with tourists.
"Must be hell for the locals."
And finally, @trackyh1 wrote: "Padstow - did not live up to expectations. Plus there were too many people (and that was not peak season)."
