Former Dublin star Diarmuid Connolly fears Cork could be 'wiped out' by the Blues in the All-Ireland quarter-final this weekend.
Cork have made it into the last eight via the qualifiers after being dumped out of Munster at the semi-finals to arch-rivals Kerry.
The Kingdom eased over the finish line in the end to score a 0-11 to 0-23 win in Pairc Ui Rinn but the Rebels were right in the hunt for three-quarters of the contest until Kerry brought in strong reinforcements off the bench.
Cork regrouped to defeat Louth and then Limerick in the back door to take them back to the last eight at Croke Park.
A place in the All-Ireland semi-finals is up for grabs as Cork face Dublin this Sunday and six-time All-Ireland winner Connolly has backed his former side for a comfortable win.
“Dublin are a short 1/33 to win this match so I expect them to win comfortably," he told Boylesports.
"Cork were beaten easily in the Munster semi-final by Kerry and they only scored 11 points that day. That scoring is not going to be good enough against the Dubs in Croke Park, we all know that.
“They struggled to beat Louth and only won by four points in the end and then came up against Limerick where they won by five points, but they just haven’t been great in any of their games.
"They have got into the lead but let teams back in and if Dublin get a lead on them, then it’s all-over early doors as they will wipe them out."
After relinquishing their All-Ireland crown last year, Dessie Farrell's Dublin look to have the bit between their teeth again this summer but have yet to be tested after another stroll through Leinster - their 12th provincial triumph in succession.
“Dublin put up a huge score of 5-17 against Kildare in the Leinster final and to score five goals in any match is brilliant," added Connolly.
"The big thing for me is Fenton and Lahiff in midfield, they are solidified now with James McCarthy dropping to the right half back position. Con O’Callaghan and Cormac Costello on the inside are on fire at the moment.
“I think the Dubs can beat them by 12 points or more with the huge scores they have been getting. Cork have been struggling, at the back at least.”
