Cops use battering ram to smash down door of former County Durham pub and discover cannabis farm

These pictures show the moment police raided a former pub and discovered a cannabis farm.

Officers executed a warrant at a disused pub in the village of Witton Park, near Bishop Auckland, in County Durham. The raid at the property on Park Road took place at 9.20am on Friday morning.

Cops used a battering ram, known as a Big Red Key, to smash down the door. They then discovered more than 150 cannabis plants inside the building.

The plants are currently being recovered by Durham Constabulary. Enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible.
