Cocaine worth £39,000 and a five-figure cash sum were seized by police during a raid in Blantyre.
Iain Winning told officers who arrived at his door with a search warrant 'I brought something into the house last night when these two were sleeping. It's drugs.'
Dad of one Winning, 41, admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine at his home in Broompark Road on July 10, 2020.
His wife, Paula, 36, walked free from Hamilton Sheriff Court this week when her not guilty plea to the same charge was accepted.
Neil Thomson, prosecuting, said 1.5kg of cocaine was found in various bags throughout the house during the 7am search.
Police officers also recovered scales, packaging and £39,200 in banknotes.
Defence agent Neal McShane said Winning, who runs a courier business, has only a minor criminal record but is "under no illusions about the serious nature of the matter and the likely outcome".
Mr McShane told the court: "Financially, he fell on hard times due to lockdown.
"He found himself with a very significant debt and thereafter was offered a sum of money to store items on behalf of other persons."
Sheriff Liam Murphy deferred sentence until next month for a criminal justice social work report and allowed Winning to remain on bail meantime.
The sheriff will also consider a Crown request to confiscate the money seized.
