Scots woman traced after 'unusual' disappearance

A Scots woman whose disappearance was deemed as 'unusual' by police has been traced safe and well.

Gillian Sturrock, 39, was last known to be on Ravensby Road in Carnoustie at around 5am on Thursday October 20.

Investigators said it is not like Gillian to have left without telling anyone where she was going and to have not been in touch with her family.

Officers have since confirmed she has been found.

Members of the public have been thanked with assisting police appeals.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We can confirm that 39-year-old Gillian Sturrock reported missing from Carnoustie has been traced safe and well. Thank you to everyone who shared our appeals."

Anyone with any information should contact police via 101 or contact any Police officer, quoting incident number 1389 of Thursday,
