Police have released CCTV footage of missing 'highly vulnerable' teenager Kai Robertson.
The 13-year-old was spotted on Princes Street, Edinburgh at the top of Waverley Steps, at around 3.10pm today.
Kai is described as being 5ft 4in tall, with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing pair of shorts, a black and white Firetrap t-shirt, white socks, black school shoes and was on a white micro-scooter.
Enquiries have established that Kai boarded a train at South Gyle Train Station and was last seen in Edinburgh city centre.
A huge police presence has been reported in Parkgrove Crescent in the Clermiston neighbourhood of Edinburgh, where Kai was seen at around 1.35pm.
At least four marked police cars and vans were in the street as uniformed officers carried out enquiries.
Inspector Graeme Dignan said: “Kai is highly vulnerable and concerns are growing for his welfare.
"Our enquiries are ongoing to trace Kai and I am appealing for anyone who has seen him or, who has any information on his whereabouts, to contact us."
Police confirmed at around 8.30pm that Kai had been found.
A statement read: "We can confirm that Kai Robertson, 13, who was reported missing from Edinburgh has been traced safe and well. Thank you to everyone who shared our earlier appeals."
