Cops are probing a suspicious car fire after a motor went up on flames on a Scots street in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Emergency services rushed to the Linton Lane area of Kirkcaldy around 12.55am following a report of a car fire.
The blaze can be seen in the distance as flames devour the motor and smoke billows from the vehicle.
Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing, with police treating the fire as suspicious. Officers have urged anyone with information to get in touch.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.55am on Sunday, 29 January, 2023, police were called to the Linton Lane area of Kirkcaldy, following a report of a car fire.
"The fire is being treated as suspicious and enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 0195 of 29 January.
"Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
The blaze comes after a "night of terror" earlier this week in Glasgow after eight motors were set alight in several streets in the Penilee and Hillington areas between 4am and 5am on Thursday.
Photographs taken from the scene on Thursday morning revealed the burnt out shell of a number of cars in the area. The insides of all the vehicles could be seen to have been mangled by the fire.
A 19-year-old man has since been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged incidents in Glasgow. He is expected to appear in court at the start of next week.
