A man was rushed to hospital in Fife after an attempted murder on a busy high street in broad daylight.
A 28-year-old man was found with "serious injuries" on Leslie High Street yesterday (February 16) morning at 10.50am.
He was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy after emergency services attended the scene.
A man was arrested in connection with the attempted murder but has since been released.
Police are continuing to investigate and say they are "following positive lines of enquiry".
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to a report of a man found with serious injuries on High Street, Leslie around 10.50am on Wednesday, 16 February, 2022.
"Emergency services attended and a 28-year-old man was taken to Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy for treatment.
"A 23-year-old man was arrested and released pending further enquiries.
"Officers are treating this incident as attempted murder and are following positive lines of enquiry.”
