Cops launch investigation after Lanarkshire property deliberately set on fire in late night blaze

Police are investigating a fire which broke out at a Lanarkshire property at the weekend.

Emergency services raced to the scene in The Glebe area of Bothwell on Saturday evening, October 22, as firefighters tackled the blaze.

It's understood the building set alight is currently derelict and there were no injuries despite the terrifying scenes.

Four fire engines were seen rushing to the area with crews fighting the inferno which took place at around 7.40pm.

The area was made safe after the fire was extinguished.

Cops have now launched an investigation to understand the full circumstances of how the incident started on Saturday night.
