Cops launch appeal for missing Scots teen after being dropped off to meet friend

A Scots teenager is missing after he was dropped off to meet a friend and failed to return.

Scott Shearer was dropped off at the Tesco at Holm Mills, Inverness to meet a friend at around 4.10pm on Wednesday, February 23.

He was due to be collected at around 9.20pm that same evening but did not return, Police Scotland has confirmed.

The 17-year-old has been described as a 5ft 8ins in height, of a slim build with short, dark hair.

Scott was wearing a blue tracksuit top, a grey North Face jumper and grey North Face joggers at the time of his disappearance.

He was also believed to be in possession of a black rucksack.

Police officers are now asking anyone with information on Scott Sherarer's whereabouts to get in touch with them.

This can be done by calling Dingwall Police Station on 101.
