Police have launched an investigation after a car and a van were deliberately set alight in East Kilbride late last night.
The blaze at approximately 10.35pm in Carnegie Hill in The Murray is being treated as wilful by officers.
An enquiry is now ongoing but there were no reports of any injuries.
It has been reported locally that both vehicles belong to the same owner - who runs a gardening business.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 10.35pm on Tuesday, 22 November to reports of two vehicles on fire near Carnegie Hill, East Kilbride.
"Operations Control mobilised one appliance to the scene to extinguish the fire.
"There were no reported casualties. Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe."
A Police Scotland source told us: "Around 10.45 pm on Tuesday, November 22, police received a report of a van and car on fire in Carnegie Hill, East Kilbride.
"There were no reports of anyone injured and SFRS extinguished the fire.
"The incident is being treated as wilful and police enquiries are ongoing."
