Cops in Lanarkshire appeal for help following three-vehicle accident

Police are asking for help in finding out the cause of a car accident on Wednesday night.

Bystanders reported seeing several police cars and an ambulance in the Shawfield area of Rutherglen at the Clyde, near the entrance of the park.

Police Scotland confirmed the incident with Lanarkshire Live.

A source told us: "“Around 6.50pm on Wednesday, police attended a report of a three-vehicle crash in Shawfield Drive.

“No-one was injured as a result of the crash.

“Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash continue.”

The news comes after a collision involving two vehicles happened last week at the junction of Shawfield Drive, emergency services attended the scene and lane restrictions were put in place.
