Thieves who stole a Bentley are being hunted by Paisley police after the vehicle was destroyed in a blaze.
Officers in the area are appealing for information after the convertible, navy blue Bentley Continental was stolen on Sunday, November 6.
Police say the incident happened between 4.40pm and 8.40pm when the car was taken from a property on Braehead Road.
The Bentley was found set alight at the junction of Neil Street with Meadowside Street in Renfrew around 9pm on Sunday evening.
Detective Constable Gary Bruce, of Paisley CID, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing into this theft and wilful fire-raising.
“I would urge any witnesses to the fire, or anyone who seen this vehicle in the local area on Sunday, November 6, to contact us as they may have information that will assist our investigation.
“Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 3610 of 6 November. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
It’s not the only such incident to have occurred at the weekend.
The Paisley Daily Express reported this week how four teenagers were being sought in connection with an incident which saw a vehicle crash into a lampost and go up in flames on Saturday.
