Police were called to an Aberdeenshire school following reports that a pupil had a knife.
Officers were called to the school in Fraserburgh at around noon on Monday, 17 April, after receiving reports that an 11-year-old was in possession of a blade.
It is understood that the knife was not brandished and the situation was quickly recovered by authorities.
Sergeant Geoff Catto, from Fraserburgh Police Station, said: “Around noon on Monday, 17 April, 2023, police were made aware of an 11-year-old boy in possession of a knife at a school in Fraserburgh.
“The weapon was not brandished and has been recovered by officers. Police are working with partners to address the matter.”
