Cops becoming increasingly concerned for missing Scots teen with no 'money or mobile phone'

Cops say they are becoming 'increasingly concerned' for a missing Scots teen who has no 'money or mobile phone'.

Charlotte Redmond, known as Charlie, was last seen in Greenock's Belville Street area at around 10pm on Friday, February 11.

The 17-year-old is described as around 5ft 6in tall, of medium build, with long red and auburn hair.

Charlie was last seen wearing tan coloured leggings and a black body warmer.

She is also known to have links to the Livingston area.

Police have launched an urgent appeal to find the teen who is said not to be dressed for the cold weather.

It's understood she is also without money or a mobile phone.

Sergeant Scott Lamont, of Greenock Police Office, said:

"Given Charlie is not dressed for the cold weather, we are becoming increasingly concerned for her and are asking for the public’s assistance to help trace her.

"We do not believe that Charlie has any money, or a mobile phone with her, and therefore she cannot have travelled far.

"Think back, have you noticed anyone matching her description?

"If you have, or have any information which could assist with our enquiries, please contact the police."

Anyone or who has any information is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 0601 of Saturday, 12 February, 2022.
