East Kilbride Police are appealing for witnesses after two young women were injured in a road crash in the town on Sunday.

The incident happened around 12.30am on the A727 at the Thorntonhall Roundabout, when a car has collided with a parked vehicle.

Two women, aged 24 and 23, were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.

A 24-year-old woman has been arrested in relation to the incident and released pending further enquiries.

Sergeant Christopher Hoggans from Police Scotland's Road Policing Unit said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area, or has dash-cam footage around the time, to get in touch via 101 quoting incident 0121 of 19 June 2022."
