New Delhi: The Election Commission of India is currently holding several meetings to strengthen and make the country's electoral process more reliable. Meanwhile, the Cooperative Election Authority has also taken new initiatives to strengthen the electoral system in the country.
Awareness about the Election Process
During a ceremony organized by the cooperative Election Authority, several officials gave important suggestions to make the country's electoral process more robust and trustworthy.
The Cooperative Election Authority celebrated its first anniversary under the Chairmanship of Dr. Ashish Kumar Bhutani, Secretary of the Ministry of Cooperation. On this occasion, the authority decided to raise public awareness about the electoral process.

First Foundation Day Celebration
In New Delhi, Dr. Ashish Kumar Bhutani, the Union Cooperation Secretary, addressed the first foundation day ceremony of the Cooperative Election Authority (CEA) as the chief guest.
The event was attended by CEA Chairman Devendra Kumar Singh, Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies Ravindra Kumar Agarwal, CEA Vice Chairman R.K. Gupta, senior officials of the Ministry of Cooperation, and heads of multi-state cooperative societies.
In his address, Dr. Ashish Kumar Bhutani said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, things are certainly moving in the right direction. He mentioned that the Cooperative Election Authority was formed after the passage of the Multi-State Cooperative Societies (Amendment) Act 2023 by Parliament.

New Faces in Cooperative Societies
Dr. Bhutani stated that the authority aims to eliminate vested interests, ensure transparency in elections, and bring new faces into cooperative societies. He urged the Cooperative Election Authority to focus on training and capacity-building programs for stakeholders and election officials to ensure the effective implementation of cooperative laws.
