The temperature in Thailand is expected to drop on Tuesday, indicating the arrival of the cool season.
According to the Meteorological Department, a cool front was moving in from the north over the weekend, bringing with it strong winds.
However, rain and thunderstorms are anticipated especially in the lower part of the East, the Northeast, the Central region and Bangkok and surrounding provinces.
From Tuesday, a moderate to strong cool front from the north will sweep through the upper part of the country, accompanied by strong winds.
However, the upper part of the country may see rain in coming days. After that the temperature will start to drop, marking the arrival of the cool season around Thursday.
According to the department, this year's cool season will arrive about two weeks later than usual. Normally, Thailand enters its colder season by the middle to end of October.
