RAIPUR: Dev Aditya Singh’s outstanding all-round performance helped Chhattisgarh take a massive 367 first innings lead in the four-day Cooch Behar Trophy match against Arunachal Pradesh.
He claimed five scalps to restrict Arunachal to 182 after Chhattisgarh won the toss and opted to field first.
In reply, Chhattisgarh scored a mammoth 549 for six at stumps on day two as Dev Aditya remained unbeaten on 184 from 189 balls including 14 fours and six sixes and all-rounder Varun Singh Bhuie remained unbeaten on 78 off 97 including five fours and one six.
Spinner Prashant Singh claimed four wickets for Chhattisgarh and Manraj Singh Dillon took one. Earlier, Chhattisgarh captain Mayank Verma (129 off 219), opener Ashish Kumar Dahariya (49 off 63) and R Krish Chopra (38 off 55) laid the foundation.
Ajay Sharma remained the highest scorer (105 off 151) for Arunachal. Nich Mima and Dhruv Soni took two wickets each for Arunachal while T Muri took one.
