The full result in the Conwy local elections 2022 as the council remains split

The votes have been counted in Conwy and Labour have made significant gains at the expense of the Conservatives.

Labour made gains but the council remains with no party having over all control.

The full results are:

  • Independent - 22 (-4)
  • Labour - 11 (+5)
  • Conservative - 10 (-5)
  • Plaid Cymru - 7 (-1)
  • Liberal Democrats - 4 (same)
  • Green - 1 (same)

The result in 2017

Independent candidates triumphed in 2017 with 20 seats. The Conservatives came in second after gaining three seats. Seats in 32 of Conwy’s 38 wards were contested for the 59-member council.

Independent : 20

Conservative: 16

Plaid Cymru: 10

Labour : 8

Liberal Democrats: 4

No party declared : 1
