West College Scotland's Paisley campus welcomed a group of contractors for an energy saving event.
The group assembled at the Abercorn Conference Centre for the Contractor Mobilisation event hosted by Scotland Excel for the recently awarded Energy Efficiency Contractors Framework.
The framework was awarded to 46 contractors in February and is expected to be worth £200m per year, over a four-year term.

It consists of 25 sub-lots which cover a range of measures including wall, floor and loft insulation; windows and doors replacement and retrofit, roof insulation, repair and replacement, electric heating, air source and ground source heat pumps as well as renewables and energy storage solutions.
The event was opened on Friday by West College Scotland’s Principal and Chief Executive Liz Connolly, who highlighted the college's support in being fundamental in delivering future training needs.
This was followed by presentations from Scotland Excel and ESP around the skills matrix and the pathway to bridging the skills gaps within their organisations via upskilling.
The contractors were provided a tour of the college facilities to view how WCS could support future training needs and requirements on campus.
Head of Construction and Building Services, Paul Lynn said: “The Energy Efficiency Contractors framework will be invaluable in helping to cut carbon emissions, tackle fuel poverty, and create warmer homes within our communities.
"West College Scotland is delighted to support our local partners in upskilling their workforce to carry out this vital work.”
Julie Welsh, Scotland Excel Chief Executive added: “Our Energy Efficiency Contractors framework will give councils and housing associations a one-stop-shop to a range of innovative energy efficiency measures.
"With sustainability at its core, it will underpin the Scottish Government’s drive for Net Zero by 2045 by supporting councils and housing associations in their efforts to tackle fuel poverty and reduce carbons emissions.
“We are delighted to be working with West College Scotland to provide training opportunities for contractors, to upskill their workforce in the latest energy efficiency measures.”
