The draw has been made for the quarter-finals of the 2022-23 FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup, with Tottenham and Chelsea set to face off in a London derby.
The last few months have seen 22 teams from the top two tiers of the women's game compete in a series of group games. The five group winners now advance to January's knock-out stages while the best second placed team also qualifies.
Former winners Chelsea and Arsenal round off the eight quarter-finalists after they were given a bye from the group stage due to their participation in the UEFA Women's Champions League. The draw took place on Tuesday evening live on talkSPORT 2, conducted by former Crystal Palace goalkeeper Chloe Morgan.
The pick of the fixtures will see last year's runners-up Chelsea travel to Brisbane Road where they'll take on Spurs, who finished top of Group E after a flawless group stage.
Arsenal will host Aston Villa at Meadow Park, with Carla Ward's side having made it out of a tricky group that also featured fellow WSL outfits Manchester United and Everton.
With a number of group stage fixtures postponed until the new year due to adverse weather conditions, Manchester City and Liverpool are among the sides who will have to wait to learn their quarter-final opponents.
With Manchester City poised to finish as Group B winners, it's likely Gareth Taylor's side will travel to the winners of Group D - either Bristol City, Charlton Atheltic or Lewes.
That will leave Liverpool as second best placed side and should therefore see the Reds host either Brighton or West Ham at Prenton Park. All quarter-final ties are scheduled to be played on 25-26 January 2023.
The semi-finals will be played the 8-9 February, with the Final at Selhurst Park taking place live on the BBC on Sunday 5 March at 3pm.
Manchester City are the defending champions in the competition after beating Chelsea 3-1 back in March at Wimbledon's Cherry Red Records Stadium. Goals from Caroline Weir and Ellen White sealed the victory for Gareth Taylor's side, who fought back after Sam Kerr opened the scoring for Chelsea.
8,004 came through the door that night, marking a record crowd for the fixture, but the FA will be hoping for even more in attendance for this season's final.
The full draw is as follows:
- Winner of Group D (Bristol City / Charlton Athletic / Lewes) v winner of Group B (Manchester City / Leicester City / Liverpool)
