The contents of the prestigious Finnstown Castle are set to be solod by auction.
The former operators announced the castle, which was one of Dublin's most popular wedding venues, would cease to operate in the first week of December last year. The Finnstown Castle Hotel in Lucan was also a much loved spot for couples and was also known for its dining options including Afternoon Tea.
The hotel was named as one of the best wedding reception venues in Ireland by the Irish Wedding Diary. It is also regarded as one of Dublin's most beautiful period estates.

The Cavan-based auction house Victor Mee has been announced as the auctioneer for the Finnstown House Hotel Collection. Items up for sale include vintage cars, chandeliers and antique furnishings.
The full catalogue of items has not been released but a sneak preview of some items has been made available by Victor Mee on social media. A pair of tables which belonged to an Irish pub in London are included in the collection.
Victor Mee wrote on Fecbook: "The O'Connor Don was one of the oldest and most famous Irish pubs in London. These beautiful 3D tables were designed by the O’Callaghan family, owners of The O’Conor Don, and John Harwood (Windsor Workshop) who sought and gained approval from Guinness to use the iconic harp in this design."
The Finnstown House Collection will go to auction on April 4,5 and 6.
