Conte boost, who trained, who dived in and almost hurt Bryan Gil - Things seen in Spurs training

Everyone fit

There was very positive injury news for Antonio Conte on Tuesday with what appeared to be a full Tottenham squad training ahead of the Champions League match against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Dejan Kulusevski seemed to be playing a full part, sliding into challenges after his hamstring problem - although Conte would later say he's not quite ready yet to feature against Frankfurt - and Lucas Moura was doing similar following his tendon inflammation issues. Japhet Tanganga was also back in action following a knock that has kept him out in recent weeks.

Those worried about Harry Kane after the striker received a kick to the back of his leg in the final stages of the win at Brighton on Saturday would have been pleased to see him fully involved on the training pitches at Hotspur Way as well. Elsewhere there appeared to be no fresh injuries with every first team player present and accounted for.

What they got up to

A morning team meeting gave way to some time in the gym for the players as they went through various exercises. Son Heung-min and Pape Matar Sarr could be spotted having a little play fight between the various muscles warm-ups they were being asked to do by the fitness coaches.

Conte and his coaches then emerged on to the training pitches first, with Ryan Mason, Cristian Stellini and Gianluca Conte among those preparing for the session ahead.

Eric Dier came out first of the group of players and once all came out - Tanganga emerging a little bit after the group - they took part in warm-up runs and sprints between posts.

Then came the rondos where the intensity - and fun - jumped up a notch.

Intense rondos

Rondos in an Antonio Conte training session are different beasts to many of those seen on training pitches and stadium pitches across the country.

The Italian demands a high level of intensity in everything that is done and training should be a reflection of matches. He's got plenty of players in his squad who are only too happy to oblige in training sessions.

The rules of the rondo were that three players had to go in the centre, holding bibs, and they had to get in the way of the passes being pinged about the rest of the squad, including goalkeepers, who had all formed the circle around them. If your pass got cut out then you went in the middle or likewise if you let the ball go outside the circle.

However, if the rest of the squad managed to get to 30 consecutive completed passes without being intercepted then all three players in the middle had to do press-ups as the losers' punishment.

Tough tackles and cheeky Romero

It wasn't just the pace of the rondo that was eye-catching but also the fact that the players were flying into challenges in order to not be on the losing side.

Ivan Perisic set the tone with an early sliding challenge that knocked Richarlison to the ground and the Brazilian responded by pretty much sliding at everybody's feet. His compatriot Lucas Moura did similar while poor Bryan Gil almost got crunched by a full-on Eric Dier sliding challenge. The little Spaniard hopped out of it, taking a bit of a hit on his foot but thankfully nothing serious.

Then there was Cristian Romero. The Argentine was charging around with a gleeful expression, seeing who he could wipe out next. In the end it was Matt Doherty who was almost the victim, Romero running towards him before launching into what can only described as a two-footed half-tackle, half-stamp which thankfully was measured perfectly to not catch the Irishman, who still did not look too impressed.

That was just the opening stages of the session. You can only imagine what happened when the real work began.
