A BARRHEAD-based construction company has “gone into administration", it is believed.
It is understood that Allma Construction, which is based on Muriel Street in the town, has closed its doors.
The civil engineering company has been a part of the town’s business sector since 1991.
Workers from the firm shared their sadness with the news on social media.
One said: “After over 25 years plus service it is a sad blow that yesterday one of the best civil engineering companies in Glasgow and West Central Scotland closed its doors.
“Allma Construction Ltd went into administration.”
While another added: “A sad day for everyone involved yesterday. 19 years’ service for myself at Allma.”
