Construction equipment valued at around £3500 stolen from building site in Kinross-shire

Construction equipment valued at around £3500 was stolen from a building site in Kinross-shire, sparking a police investigation.

The incident took place earlier this month between 5pm on Thursday, April 7, and 7am on Friday, April 8, at a Springfield housing development site located off Curlers Crescent and Manse Road in Milnathort.

The site office and a storage container were forced open and several plant tools of relatively high value were stolen.

The stolen items included two Hilti Stihl Saws (serial numbers 178794987 and 190220618), an impact wrench (serial 140880E), a hammer drill set TE7 Model (serial 267036), and a rotating level laser (serial 184190541).

A police spokesperson said: “It is suspected that the theft would have required at least two people due to the weight of some of the items and a vehicle to transport them.

“Local officers are asking residents in the immediate area to check any CCTV they may have around the time of the theft for any suspicious vehicles or persons.

“If anyone has any information that may assist please call 101 quoting reference CR/14706/22.”
