Sir Jim Ratcliffe to bid for club

Following news that the Glazers are considering selling Manchester United, Sir Jim Ratcliffe is set to make an offer for the team.

After an unsuccessful attempt to purchase Chelsea in the summer, British billionaire Ratcliffe had indicated interest in a takeover of United, the club he supports, but the Glazers were unwilling to sell.

But now that the Glazers are "exploring strategic alternatives" as they look to bring new investment to the Old Trafford outfit, it looks like he could once again make a bid for the Reds.

The Glazers value United at £5 billion, and Ratcliffe is apparently back at the negotiating table and planning to make an offer to purchase the team, though he is reportedly adamant about not overpaying for the club.
