Senior Conservative politicians have expressed shock at the Labour Party's projected landslide victory in Britain's general election. The former leader of the Scottish Conservative Party, Ruth Davidson, described the outcome as a 'massacre.'

Former Conservative Justice Secretary Robert Buckland, who is expected to lose his seat, acknowledged the defeat but expressed hope for his political future. He humorously mentioned that he would be leaving parliament to focus more on politics.
