A top conservative grassroots group, Heritage Action for America, has initiated a six-figure ad campaign aimed at promoting the swift confirmation of President-elect Trump's Cabinet nominees. The group plans to spend $150,000 on a static digital ad campaign targeting nine states with a 'soft appeal' to voters, encouraging them to contact their senators and emphasize Trump's mandate from the American people.
The first ad of the campaign focuses on supporting Defense Secretary-nominee Pete Hegseth, with the overall initial ad buy scheduled to run until December 31. Other ads will highlight Trump Cabinet nominees such as former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, Kash Patel, and former Florida Attorney General Pamela Bondi.
The targeted states for the ad campaign include Alaska, Maine, Louisiana, Iowa, North Carolina, Kentucky, Indiana, Utah, South Dakota, and Washington, D.C. These states were chosen strategically as they are home to senators who have not firmly committed for or against certain nominees.
Heritage Action Vice President Ryan Walker emphasized the urgency of confirming Cabinet nominees promptly, citing the limited time before the midterm elections. The group aims to unite the Republican conference around the nominees to advance Trump's agenda effectively.
The campaign will adapt based on public commentary from senators and nominee activities on Capitol Hill. Heritage Action plans to follow up the digital ad campaign with a direct-text-message initiative and potentially a television ad on Inauguration Day.
In addition to the ad campaign, Heritage Action utilizes grassroots activists nationwide to advocate for conservative principles at the state-government level.
