Conor Murray and fiancée Joanna Cooper sip on cocktails during luxurious Ibiza holiday

Like the rest of the frontline Irish rugby players, Conor Murray has been granted additional time off before having to report to Munster's pre-season training following his exertions in the tour of New Zealand.

And as such, he has made the most of it by jetting off to Ibiza with his fiancée Joanna.

The pair have shared some idyllic shots from the Mediterranean island as they unwound on its white beaches.

Among them was one of what looked like coconut-style cocktails as well as another showing off the beautiful palm trees that the Spanish isle is known for as well as its wild nightlife.

The couple have been dating since 2018 and got engaged in March on another sun-filled getaway, this time to Dubai.

Conor and his partner, who hails from Derry, headed out to the Middle East just days after Ireland won the Triple Crown in the Six Nations with a 26-5 win over Scotland at the Aviva Stadium.

Joanna shared a snap on Instagram of her engagement ring with Murray smiling in the background.

She commented on it: "Always & Forever." Murray also shared the photo and simply wrote: "Phew."

They first met in 2017 but did not immediately hit it off, reports RSVP Live.

However, they won each other over and embarked on a long-distance relationship between Ireland, where Conor was based, and London where the majority of Joanna's modelling career opportunities were.

Their relationship continued to blossom despite The Irish Sea between them, with the pair taking turns to visit one another and taking weekend trips away, including to holiday hotspots like Greece and Dubai.

Like many couples, the arrival of the coronavirus pandemic meant that something needed to change.

With Joanna coming back to visit Ireland as the lockdowns began, the couple ended up moving in together slightly sooner than they had expected.

The former Miss Universe Ireland was unable to travel due to the extent of restrictions back in March 2020, and because they had hoped to be living together soon anyway, they took the opportunity.

Conor previously told Ray D'Arcy on Radio 1:" Joanna moved in fully at the start of lockdown which has been brilliant.

"Thankfully we were planning it anyway, Joanna was due to move in at the end of the Six Nations back in March, it was happening anyway."
