In another post with a snap of dad and son, McGregor described Conor Jr as 'a king'.

Irish football legend Robbie Keane shared his birthday wishes, posting: "Happy birthday junior."

Australian MMA star Bec Rawlings said: "I can’t get over over cute he is.  Happy Birthday young lad!"

McGregor returned to the UFC octagon in January with a stunning win over Donald Cerrone and admitted he had his kids to thank for helping him to refocus on his MMA career.

The 31-year-old told ESPN: "I needed my kids to help me and they have helped me and I'm very, very happy and very proud.

"I'm very blessed that I can bring my family with me. Life is crazy, life is beautiful.

"Right at the time where I needed it the most so I'm very, very happy and very very blessed."

Meanwhile, during an an Instagram live training session yesterday, Floyd Mayweather raised the possibility of a second boxing clash with McGregor.

"Where he (McGregor) at? He don't want this," he said.

McGregor has long insisted he under-performed against Mayweather and intends to return to the ring.

The Dubliner stopped Cerrone inside 40 seconds and had planned to fight three times this year.

Old sparring partner rival Paulie Malignaggi is another man keen for a crack at The Notorious.

Malignaggi, 39, told Boxing Scene: "The Conor McGregor fight always interests me.

"I will gladly do winner takes all the money in that fight. I will put my finances at risk because it will be a pleasure to beat that guy up.

"There would be a lot of money in the pot. I would rather let the winner take it all.

"He's dragged my name too much in the mud. He knows he will get the s*** beat out of him if he tries me.

"Him and I both know that. He gets stopped, 100 per cent, no doubt about it. He can't last the distance in a boxing match."
