Conor McGregor vs True Geordie tale of the tape after fight call-out

Conor McGregor would have to bulk up a considerable amount even from his new bigger frame in order to get anywhere near heavyweight True Geordie for a charity fight.

And the YouTube star has called for just that in a recent YouTube video, responding to a mocking voice note from the Irishman this week by declaring that the pair could meet, with all the money going to a charity for burns victims. However, despite his hefty size advantage, Geordie would face an incredible uphill battle to beat his rival, given his lack of experience.

True Geordie has never fought or even entertained the idea, even after witnessing the influx of new YouTube boxers during his involvement in the scene and reportedly receiving an offer to fight Tempo Arts on Misfits. But he believes that he would be able to defeat a former two-weight UFC champion with size alone, according to his recent callout video.

Here's how the duo stack up against once another...

Record

Conor McGregor is 22-6 in the MMA cage, including knockout victories over legends such as Jose Aldo, Donald Cerrone and Dustin Poirier. In the boxing ring he is 0-1 as a professional, and also had a number of amateur bouts during his younger days before transitioning to the cage as a teen. He has competed twice in exhibition bouts on Crumlin Boxing Club shows.

True Geordie, on the other hand, has never boxed or competed in MMA, meaning his record is 0-0 in both. He has not achieved any belt in any of the disciplines required for Mixed Martial Arts such as jiu-jitsu or even karate. He has done bodybuilding, but never competed, and has posted videos of his boxing sparring with YouTuber AnEsonGib and his trainer Derrick.

Height and reach

The size advantage is where Geordie feels he would have the better of McGregor. He stands around 6'2" tall to the Irishman's 5'9", towering over his rival. McGregor has a recorded reach of 74", which is large for his weight divisions of 145 and 155lb, but would be considerably shorter than many heavyweights. True Geordie's reach is unknown, as it has never been recorded for any sort of athletic competition.

Weight

True Geordie claims to weigh 300lb, although similarly to his reach that has never been recorded for the sake of competition in any combat sport. Meanwhile, McGregor has bulked up from even his highest fight weight of 170lb, and is believed to be walking around in the region of 195lb.

Experience

True Geordie is a commentator, who has lightly sparred in the boxing ring on camera twice and never had a bout of any description in any combat sport. McGregor has won world titles at two different weights in the UFC and is the only man to land knockout wins in three weight divisions. His boxing debut was a losing effort to 50-0 Floyd Mayweather.

There is footage of McGregor sparring with fighters as heavy as middleweight Ion Pascu, as well as one video showing him working out in a light spar with Hafthor Bjornsson while the strongman was filming Game of Thrones. Bjornsson is 6'9" and was around 450lb at the time the footage was shot.
