Conor McGregor has been urged to accept offers to train with Khamzat Chimaev and renowned boxing coach Eddy Reynoso ahead of his UFC comeback.
The Irishman, who was once a two-division world champion at featherweight and lightweight, has been returning to boxing training as he recovers from a broken leg that has kept him out for the best part of the last year. And in that process, he has been told by Chimaev and Reynoso, among others, that he would be welcome in their camps.
But he has opted to stay at home in Dublin, where he is working at the Crumlin Boxing Club, and will return to SBG Ireland HQ once he has been cleared for MMA training. He has been posting footage to social media for fans to watch, and some believe he should be taking up offers for extra work with the big name fight minds.
In the comments section of a video posted yesterday, one fan told McGregor he's "going to need to stop training with yes men if you want to win boss". Another few fans told him he must "train with Khamzat", while one suggested he instead should "should accept to work out with team Canelo [Alvarez]", which is headed up by Reynoso.
McGregor is working towards a return to the octagon for later this year, and is looking to bounce back from two consecutive stoppage losses to Dustin Poirier. He was knocked out when they rematched in January of last year, and suffered a horror leg break in the first round of their trilogy in July which cost him the fight and around a year of his career.
He is now angling for a world title opportunity against Kamaru Usman for the welterweight belt, which if he were to get and win would be his third championship in the company. McGregor made history when he won the lightweight title to become the first two-division champion to hold belts simultaneously, but nobody has ever competed at this high of a level across three divisions.

And while Usman must first get past Birmingham's Leon Edwards, it appears that he isn't completely rubbishing the possibility of facing McGregor in his comeback fight. He has slammed the Irishman as a "clout chaser", and for years has said he would be willing to compete against him if the timing were right.
"I don't take anything that he says seriously because I understand he's just a clout chaser," Usman said in an interview with Sky Sports. "He's just looking for clout. He likes to attach his name to the guy at the top of the sport, just to announce his resurgence.
"That's what he does. If he's fighting, he's going to tweet about it. If I'm fighting, he's going to tweet something. He just wants to keep his name relevant out there, because obviously his fighting isn't doing the talking anymore. He wants to keep his name out there, that's why his fingers are doing the talking nowadays."
