Conor McGregor will likely return to fight in September with a fight against Michael Chandler confirmed.
McGregor has not fought since summer 2021 and UFC boss Dana White confirmed the news on Saturday.
The Dubliner will take part as a coach in UFC's Ultimate fighter series with Chandler the opposition coach.
And the pair will meet later this year with September the likely date.
Chandler fought for the UFC Lightweight title back in 2021 but lost three of his last four fights.
No further details have been confirmed but it is believed the fight will be at welterweight.
Date and location have also yet to be confirmed.
And a win for McGregor could see him in line for a UFC title shot.
