Conor McGregor teases opponent for UFC comeback in bizarre string of Tweets

Conor McGregor has teased that he already has an opponent lined up for a return to the octagon later this year.

In a string of posts, 'The Notorious' claimed that his opponent has yet to be decided, and encouraged potential opponents to stake their claim. In typical McGregor style, the Irish superstar seemingly called out everyone on the UFC roster.

"I feel I could do yous all in. Handy. Any list."

"If you want a knock off me step up and say your piece. I’m still picking who."

In a later series of tweets, McGregor then claimed that he already knows who his opponent will be, what weight the fight will take place at, and the date and location of the fight.

"I know well who," McGregor posted on Twitter in relation to his next opponent.

"When. What weight. Where. How it goes."

"Everything."

"I see dead people."

To round things off, McGregor continued to tease the date of his return, before ultimately deciding not to do so.

"The Date of my return is..."

McGregor has been out of action since suffering a broken leg in a loss against Dustin Poirier last July.

In recent weeks, McGregor has been called out by a number of fighters. Michael Chandler challenged McGregor immediately after his devastating KO of Tony Ferguson at UFC 274, while longtime Twitter rivals Charles Oliveira and the aforementioned Ferguson have expressed interest in fighting the Crumlin native.

Former interim UFC Lightweight Champion Justin Gaethje recently stated that he wants to be the one to end McGregor's career.

So after all of that, we are still none the wiser as to when the former UFC Featherweight and Lightweight champion will return to the octagon.

One thing that is for sure however, is that Dana White will have no shortage of opponents chomping at the bit to get a shot at McGregor.
