Conor McGregor has slammed Leo Varadkar and praised Micheal Martin as the Fine Gael leader is set to become Taoiseach on Saturday.
Martin's two and a half year reign as government leader comes to an end today as part of Fianna Fail's coalition agreement with Fine Gael with Varadkar to take over the role pending a Dail vote.
But UFC star McGregor appeared to not be too happy with the news, as Varadkar is set to take up the top job later on Saturday.
And the Dubliner was also full of praise for reigning Taoiseach Micheal Martin, calling him likeable.
Taking to Twitter, McGregor said: "My input is I have no issue with Michael [sic] Martin. I feel he is as likeable as it comes in the space. Varadkar, different. He should not be stepping in to lead our country.
"What a strange time. Watching"
Micheal Martin met with President Michael D Higgins on Saturday morning as he stepped down as Taoiseach.
